This Commission Began As Art...Then Became So Much More

I was commissioned to make a watercolor painting of my clients with their pets on their sofa, with views of the George Washington Bridge and New Jersey cliffs through their windows. This painting took on unexpected emotional significance during the creation process, making it one of my most memorable commissions. The personal connections ran deep - he was my student, she had previously one my print raffles a couple years ago, and their cat looked exactly like mine, which made working on this piece especially meaningful.
