How I Designed My Latest Painting (Luchetti Sketchbook)

This watercolor painting in my Luchetti Sketchbook is an example of designing a scene around a specific focal point. In this video, I share the strategy behind this artwork. 

I showed this painting to students who attended my free watercolor workshops in NYC's Washington Square Park in May 2026. I was a Park Open Studio teaching artist for the month. This recording took place right after speaking for nearly 2 hours at my last workshop, so please excuse any tiredness you might hear!
