Billings Lawn 2, Fort Tryon, Watercolor, Hudson River, River Scene
One of my final paintings of 2022, here's a scene from Billings Lawn in Fort Tryon Park, Manhattan. The sun is setting on this beautiful August day. Sit in the right spot and you'll witness the trees opening up a portal to the other side. It's one of the more magical spots of the park; a beloved picnicking site for most of the year, it turns into the local sledding hill in the winter.
Original Painting (16”x20” and framed) is available. Will be packaged carefully in protective cardboard for safe delivery.
Limited edition fine art prints (11”x14”) include a white border and are printed on 100% cotton paper, featuring a distinct textured surface (310 gsm; Acid, OBA, and Lignin Free). Each print is numbered and signed, limited to 50 editions.
All other sizes feature acid-free, 100% cotton rag paper with a bright white, smooth surface.

This painting reflects the magic of Fort Tryon park, both the natural beauty and the community it fosters. I love it as it reminds me of so many happy times on Billings Lawn, a site of birthday parties, music, sledding and picnics.

Francis's art is created to make you see what you feel. So grateful to have this artist's aesthetic captured on paper.
