This is a spot inside Fort Tryon Park, near the steps leading up to Margaret Corbin Plaza. This time of year with its earlier sunsets always feels a bit melancholy, but taking walks in the evening tends to lift my spirits. It's just a lamppost, but when I came across its glowing brilliance during a recent sunset walk, I saw an opportunity to practice painting light. We’re fortunate in this part of the town that there’s always some magical display of light and shadow revealing itself if one just stops to look.

This is part of a series of nocturne paintings which I created over two years, using gouache paint on black paper. Original painting has been sold.

Original Painting (11"x14") has been sold.

Limited edition prints (11"x14") are numbered and signed, limited to 15 editions.

All other prints feature the same acid-free, 100% cotton rag paper.

All prints come unframed. Framed image is for illustration purposes only. Prints will be packaged carefully in protective cardboard for safe delivery.

Please allow 2-3 weeks for production and shipping. Artwork will be packaged for safe delivery.
