Day 7 was our last full day on our Holland America cruise to Alaska. This was my 6th demo painting before we visited Victoria, British Columbia. For my sixth cotton paper test, I decided to paint this portrait of the sea. Painted on Fuumuui 100% Cotton paper.

I lifted out some cloud shapes and also some waves. I took some liberty to design patterns in the sea.

Part of a series of demonstration paintings completed on the ship (August 2026).

Fine art prints include a white border and are printed on 100% cotton paper, featuring a distinct textured surface (310 gsm; Acid, OBA, and Lignin Free).
