This painting was based on 1 of 2 photographs I took of my son playing beach volleyball on Ala Moana Beach, in Oahu. We were proud to see him join this pickup game and this was one of my attempts to capture a special moment of seeing our son maturing and boldly having fun in this beautiful setting.
